How I Gained My Stock Trading Experience...

My name is Larry, and Online-Stock-Trading-Guide.com is my website. What started out years ago as my desire to learn how to trade stocks, has resulted in several years of stock trading experience that I now would like to share with others.

My experience in stock trading started back around 1997-1998, although the skills I use to help me trade started being developed when I was in elementary school. (A long time ago)

When I was a child, I always had an interest in math and numbers in general. Throughout my schooling, I was lucky enough to have taken advanced math classes, computer classes and I had some great teachers (my parents included).

In college and after college, I took classes in math, computers, economics and accounting. You can see that I couldn't get rid of the numbers. After all, why fight what you have an interest in?

Fast forward a few years and I was running my own successful business. Part of my being successful at this business was my ability to use my math, business and accounting skills as a business owner to become successful

During the 12 years that I had my business, one of the things I enjoyed the most was the ability to help other people. Whether it was helping teach my employees to do a quality job, or helping my customers by them giving me the chance to do a good job for them. What kept me going those years was my passion to help others.

After going through cancer treatment in 1997-1998 (that story is too long for this page), and after seeing stocks go up for many years, I decided to take the plunge and give stock trading a try.

Since then I have learned the hard way how to trade stocks. I am not going to tell you that I have made millions of dollars trading stocks and never lost any. I have made lots of money trading stocks, and I have lost lots of money trading stocks. But what I feel is important, is that I have gone through so many different trading situations that I can look back and see what my mistakes were and I can now try to avoid them and pass this knowledge on to you.

You can see that I am not a suit and tie salesperson trying to sell you something that I don't use or believe in myself. I am an everyday person doing something that I enjoy and passing on what I know to help others.

The years of experience I have is predominantly in stock trading. I do have some experience in trading stock options but my preference is trading stocks. The stock trading experience I have is in Scalping, Day Trading and Swing Trading.

If you are beginning to learn to trade stocks or have a some experience, my goals are:

• To provide the information that I have learned about stock trading on this website to help you;
• To try and help you avoid the stock trading mistakes I have made myself;
• To help you gain a good background in stock trading without having to lose a lot of money.

Since I have always enjoyed helping other people by trying to pass on what I have learned, I am going to try and concentrate on doing just that. I will be adding pages to this website on a regular basis that I feel will be helpful to anyone who may be just starting out in stock trading as well as intermediate traders looking to add to their existing knowledge.
