Wall Street Survivor Simulated Trading
Potential Prizes
In addition to the benefit of being able to learn about Stock Trading without risking any money, having a Wall Street Survivor Simulated Trading Account comes with the ability to earn/win potential prizes.
I say earn/win because there are several opportunites available, some based on your performance, and some based more on luck and chance.
Here's a rundown on some of the prizes available as of this writing July 6, 2010. Be sure to check out the current contest prizes and rules when you are logged in to your account to keep up to date in case anything changes.

As I mentioned above, be sure and check the current Contest Rules when you are logged in to your account to stay up to date in case of any changes.
Some other things to keep in mind are that your starting Portfolio Values must be $50,000 at the beginning of each week to be eligible for Weekly Contests, and $50,000 at the beginning of the month to be eligible for Monthly Contests. You're given $100,000 when you set up an account, so this shouldn't be a problem (in most cases).
You are also provided with different Portfolios when you open a free account. Be sure to use the Contest Portfolio to be eligible for any of the prizes, not the Permanent Portfolio.
Also, (this is very important for some of you) - if you wind up being the Trader with the Worst Trade for any period, DON'T expect to win a prize. Think I'm not serious? I noticed where someone had asked this question, so I figured I would let you know now, so you won't take it so hard if you come out on top for this category.
